The Social On 83rd: Reviews & Ratings
I'm giving this place 5 stars because you can expect the best here in their class. First off, their menu is unique, not the typical burgers, fries, and tacos. Much of their food is sourced locally and all of it has a hand prepared look and taste. Their short rib tacos are delicious and I would also recommend the paninni on sourdough, made locally. The atmosphere is casual, family friendly, yet dressed up enough to still feel like a mature adult. Perfect for friends, luncheons, shopping trip break, and post baseball game chill spot, Have fun, relax, chat, and eat up!
We went on a Sunday around 1:00 p.m. and must have just missed the brunch rush because we were seated right away. Service was quick, friendly, and attentive, and everything we ordered was delicious. We tried the smoked Gouda mac and cheese, the short rib tacos, and the bruschetta board. The mac and cheese had a rich, flavorful cheese profile that really stood out. The short rib tacos came with three, but they were generously portioned for street tacos and more than enough. The flavor was incredible. For the bruschetta board, we chose spinach artichoke (my personal favorite), apple and fig, and a spicy jam option. All three were delicious. The bread was soft, and the flavor combinations were amazing. The restaurant itself has a cute, welcoming vibe. There were outdoor activities available, but we didn’t get a chance to check them out. I’m definitely looking forward to coming back and trying more next time!
If this place opens in Chandler, it would be a hit! Why does it have to be so far from my house…sighhh It was a long lunch date I had with a friend I hadn’t chatted with for a long time. We ordered alcohol beverages plus some items from the lunch menu - the specialty burger and some sliders. The server checked on us often which I appreciated. Overall, what a cozy spot and I enjoyed the vibe. I saw the Sunday breakfast menu and I am bummed that I won’t be able to participate. Again, if they open a restaurant in Chandler with similar concept, I bet a lot of people would go.
The food is about what I expected. If your expectations are high, you'll be disappointed. But if you're pretty middle of the road, you'll be spot on. My power went out and I wanted a place to hang out until it came back on and frankly, I did enjoy this place, and I would definitely come back. Their cocktail happy hour special is definitely worth it and they didn't pour lighter alcohol for it, which was amazing. I love the outdoor seating and the fact that there's both heating and cooling elements in the outdoor space. The waitress I had was super friendly and attentive, which is more than I can ask for. Yeah I'll definitely be back!
This place matches its name, geared toward being social. Some larger tables, a number of booths for 4, outside seating with corn hole games and patio string lights. Our server was great! Answered our questions and was attentive. Loved my burger, particularly the aioli sauce and the bun - really tasty, and husband got the fish n chips (fries) which he really enjoyed as well.
Sunday brunch for the win! We loved the atmosphere and quick service. The breakfast potatoes were a little soft, but otherwise we loved our meals. The avocado toast was delish!
Came in for my grandsons 1 year day party. Nice atmosphere. A bit "bumpin" as the kids would say so we sat outside and had a nice lunch. Service was solid and food came put quite timely. Burgers were cooked over a bit so order them a little less done if you're fussy. Mac n cheese was 10/10... loved the smoked gouda! Short rib tacos were q generous portion. Asian chicken sandwich was undoubtedly my favorite! Crunchy and with a tangy, sticky sauce! Desert was slightly underwhelming. The par-baked cookie was literally raw chocolate chip cookie dough. Unappetizing. Overall the place is trendy and staff very accommodating and worked well as a team. We'll be back!
It was delicious. We had a cocktail. It was a good Bloody Mary. The breakfast bruschetta. Breakfast croissant sandwich and the social Benedict. We will be back
